Why ABT?

Dear Patrons and Friends,
Welcome to the highly anticipated Season Seven that embodies the heart and soul of Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT) by enriching lives through the power of the performing arts.
As a West Valley resident, I have chosen to personally provide philanthropic support to this deserving organization and am honored to volunteer my time as a member of the Board of Trustees for Arizona Broadway Theatre (the not-for-profit ABT Performing Arts Association Inc.). As the former President and CEO of Cancer Treatment Centers of America® in Goodyear, I am also proud of the partnership that has developed between ABT and the hospital, allowing patients and stakeholders to enjoy all this West Valley treasure has to offer.
I believe the performing arts play a significant role in enhancing quality of life. I have witnessed the arts’ contribution to an improved sense of emotional health and well-being by fostering self-esteem, confidence, and self-expression in people of all ages. It’s been proven that participating in an artistic experience reduces anxiety, stress and depression, and provides healthful opportunities for support, social contact, and a sense of community.
On a more personal note, I am inspired by the outstanding work ethic of the ABT performers and staff. They are passionately engaged in multi-faceted creative efforts that radiate a sense of meaning and value for their audiences. They take their work of live performance very seriously. It is work that thrills and inspires, reconnects with universal truths, speaks to the complexity of the human condition and, even more deeply, touches our hearts and souls.
I am honored to serve a theatre that brings such energetic and exuberant gifts to the West Valley. I believe ABT provides significant cultural and economic impact to the community and I will continue to encourage, to guide and to help preserve the theatre’s outstanding artistic work today and to ensure its health and vitality well into the future.
I am confident you will enjoy the exceptional performing arts experience that is Arizona Broadway Theatre and hope that you will find your heart warmed and your soul well nourished.
