ARIZONA BROADWAY THEATRE
The Arizona Broadway Theatre staged The Fisherman and His Wife starring 14 local students enrolled in the spring session of the Academy for Young Performers. During the weeklong workshops, the cast painted sets for the production and rehearsed their roles for the March 29 performance. Actor Ben Medina enjoys the chemistry that his special effects class experienced during the Arizona Broadway Theatre’s Academy for Young Performers, that ran the week of March 24, 2008. Fourteen students saw him concoct the bubbling potion seen in the thriller Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical, running through April 20. Medina has performed in several ABT productions, including A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, La Cage aux Folles, Damn Yankees and H.M.S. Pinafore.
